Why you should choose the Maldives as your next vacation destination

There is nothing quite as breathtaking as the first moment you gaze at the profuse life on the seabed of the shallows around an island. As you go further, the seabed drops away from the surface of the sea into a deep blue abyss with caustic light from the ripples reaching out into the seabed far below.

I still remember the fateful first day I was introduced to the sea. I let out a “wow” through my snorkel, much to the amusement of my friends, as I saw the Maldives in the true sense… the profuse coral growths on the seawall, the reef fish in every colour, shape and size imaginable darting around, up and under me.

Most cruises arrange picnics to uninhabited islands, where you can enjoy a few moments on dry land after all that sea. Catch fish on the way and once you reach the island, set up a barbeque right on the beach. After your piping hot meal, you can take a walk around the island on what the Maldives is world famous for – the creamy white sands.
